2:5. ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଜାଣିଛ ଯେ, କବେେ ହେଲେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଖୋସାମଦିଆ କଥା କହି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରି ନାହୁଁ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଟଙ୍କା ପାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଚାହିଁ ନାହୁଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଜର କୌଣସି ସ୍ବାର୍ଥପର ଭାବ ଗୁପ୍ତ ରଖି ନାହୁଁ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଜାଣନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଏହା ସତ୍ଯ।

2:5. For we never appeared with flattering speech, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed— God is our witness—

2:5. Never once did we try to win you with flattery, as you well know. And God is our witness that we were not pretending to be your friends just to get your money!
